Hello folks! Admission time is almost here for joining merchant navy. Are you guys preparing or not? Here I am sharing the details of the admission procedure and important dates for joining merchant navy for the year 2014-15.
Eligibility:
You must have passed 12th with PCM as your main subject. English is compulsory. 12th appearing students are also eligible but they have to present their mark sheet at the time of counselling. Counselling is generally held in the month of July and the session starts from August.

Eligibility Criteria For Joining Merchant Navy
Admission Procedure:
Admission to merchant navy in india is done on the basis of ranking achieved by the students in Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Indian Maritime
University in the month of JUNE every year. Please note that appearing in CET is MUST for every candidate, sponsored or non sponsored.
What Next:
Selected candidates will then be called by IMU for counselling at Chennai, which is held in the month of July. Colleges will be allotted on the basis of merit.
